Terms of use
Last updated 12 October 2026
Wiki Workbench is made by Kingpin Apps, a trade name of Adderley Group Ltd., Cayman Islands ("we"). These terms cover the Wiki Workbench app for Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro.
Apple's licence comes first
You get Wiki Workbench from the App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to it. These terms add to that agreement. Where the two disagree, Apple's agreement wins.
The free trial and the unlock
- The app is free to download. The 14-day free trial starts when you choose it in the app, and lets you use everything.
- When the trial ends, your notes stay readable and searchable, but the app stops changing them until you unlock it.
- The unlock is a one-time in-app purchase at the price shown in the App Store. It is not a subscription. It covers the app on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro for the same Apple Account; use Restore Purchases on each device.
- Apple handles payment and refunds. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your notes are yours
Your notes stay in a folder you choose, and we claim no rights to them. You are responsible for what you write and store, and for having the right to store it.
Keep a backup
Wiki Workbench changes your files in place. Git pulls and AI agents you connect can change many notes at once. Keep a backup of anything you cannot afford to lose, for example with Time Machine, iCloud Drive or a git remote.
AI agents and other services
On the Mac you can let AI agents connect to your vault. You choose which agents to connect, and you are responsible for what they do to your notes. Each agent, git host, sync service and website you use with the app works under its own terms, and we do not control them.
No warranty
We work to make Wiki Workbench reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We do not promise that it will be free of bugs or that it will never lose or damage data.
Our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Cayman Islands, without removing the consumer protections of the country where you live.
